At Tampa Palms Plastic Surgery, skin care rejuvenation is offered by our Licensed Aesthetician, Paula, who has more than 20 years of experience in the aesthetics business. She administers anti-aging skin care treatments that include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and microneedling.
Skin care rejuvenation services include treatments with Obagi Medical and IMAGE Skincare products.
Obagi Medical® offers several treatment options to revitalize your skin. Some of these products include: Obagi Nu-Derm® Systems to improve cellular skin function and minimize signs of premature aging and Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.™ Systems to clear acne quickly by aggressively treating acne at its source deep beneath the skin’s surface.
Obagi Rosaclear® System treats the redness and blotchiness caused by rosacea and Obagi ELASTIderm® Décolletage System works to reduce age spots and revitalize skin in your chest and neck area.
IMAGE Skin care products are offered in several product lines to meet your individual needs. Each line consists of four starter products that include a cleanser, an anti-aging serum, a creme to protect and moisturize, and repair creme. Treatments are offered from four different levels, based on your skin condition. The treatments range from Level 1 non-chemical peels that refresh your skin to Level 3 treatments that include TCA Orange Lift, a retinol peel that aggressively treats aging and sun-damaged skin.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, dull skin, oily skin, acne and enlarged pores. Chemical peels come in different strengths and work by sloughing or peeling off layers of skin, resulting in stimulated production of collagen and refreshed, healthier-looking skin.
VI Peel is an innovative next generation of medical chemical peels that is virtually painless and provides optimal results with minimal downtime. The VI Peel is for all skin types and ages and provides “true repair” of the skin. Perfect for treating hyperpigmentation, aging skin, acne, acne scarring and rosacea.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which a hand held device with a diamond tip is passed over the surface of the skin. A vacuum attached to the wand removes the exfoliated skin. This procedure offers greater control compared to a chemical peel. With microdermabrasion, Paula can focus on areas of your face that may need extra attention.
Peel and Microdermabrasion
Combining a chemical peel with microdermabrasion allows for greater exfoliation than could be achieved with just a chemical peel or microdermabrasion alone. The two work together to enhance anti-aging benefits.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy,uses a series of needles that create micro channels in the skin that trigger the body to fill the channels with new collagen and elastin. It is a safe treatment that can be performed on most skin colors and types and offers visible results at an affordable price. Some of the benefits of skin needling include firming, improvement of texture, reduction of fine lines/wrinkles, prevention of premature aging, reduced visibility of scars, fading of stretch marks and the minimized appearance of age spots and pore size.
Teen Acne Facial
Adolescent skin generally produces more oil than more mature skin as a result of hormone changes. A teen facial can help unclog blocked pores, reduce oil and clear acne. Teen facials may include a light cleansing preparation, a facial steamer, and a facial mask to draw out impurities.
Back Facial
A back facial is a skin treatment formulated specifically for the back and are available for men and women. The goal is to reduce congestion on the back with exfoliation and deep cleaning.
Gentleman’s Facial
The gentleman’s facial is designed to specifically address the skin care needs of men. The treatment exfoliates and rehydrates the skin, resulting in a refreshed and invigorated feeling and appearance.

Paula is a Licensed Aesthetician with more than 15 years of experience in the aesthetics business. She administers anti-aging skin care treatments that include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and microneedling.
Paula will evaluate your skin and recommend pharmaceutical grade skin care products that resurface the skin from the effects of aging and overexposure to the sun. If you are having a surgical procedure, Paula will ensure that you prepare your skin with the proper home care regimen both before and after your procedure.
